Unauthorized and Fraudulent Module Announcement
Due to growing recognition of the Upsolar brand, unauthorized and fraudulent Upsolar modules are now being offered and sold into the market. These modules are either manufactured using low-quality components with fake logos of reputable module component suppliers or are genuine modules intended for disposal. Both types are sold using the Upsolar brand.

See below for more information about this issue and several resources to determine the validity of your own module purchase. Please only purchase Upsolar modules from authorized dealers and distributors.

Dear Upsolar Customers,

It has come to our attention that unauthorized and fraudulent Upsolar modules are currently being offered and sold on the German market. These modules are either manufactured using low-quality components with fake logos of reputable module component suppliers or are genuine modules intended for disposal. Both types are sold using the Upsolar brand.

Unauthorized module sales have historically been characterized by unusually low pricing, incorrect spellings of the name of the brand, and sales via e-mail promotions or online vendors. Such modules do not necessarily have any or all of these characteristics, and can appear in any market. A purchase of unauthorized modules can mean significant financial losses for a customer. Upsolar offers a strong warranty, insurance and after-sales support on Upsolar products, but unfortunately is unable to compensate for losses incurred on non-genuine Upsolar products.

Upsolar Group closely monitors all of the markets in which we are active, taking legal actions and informing our customers as soon as we discover such incidences. Customers concerned about the authenticity of their modules may contact their account manager or their regional Upsolar branch to confirm the modules series numbers. A reply will be sent within 24 hours. Customers may also consult the website for information about the already known affected containers. The Upsolar website will continue to remain a resource for determining the validity of a module purchase, in order to guarantee a safe investment for Upsolar customers.

We are working with our legal department and our manufacturing platforms to prevent unauthorized modules from appearing on the market again. We hope that you will join us in protecting the interests of our loyal customer base by reaching out to us should you encounter Upsolar modules that appear to be unauthorized, so that Upsolar can continue to be a trusted supplier of safe solar.

Sincerely,

Zhe Jiang
CEO of Upsolar Group
