Upsolar strives to make renewable energy a mainstay for the global economy.
Upsolar participates in various industry associations to influence local, national and international policies and to help bridge the gap between today's fossil fuel-based economy and a clean energy future.
We closely follow policy developments to monitor the progress of industry initiatives promoting renewable energy development. Current initiatives include:
- Feed-in tariffs for electricity – The French government has implemented an incentive in the form of a purchase obligation at a fixed rate for electricity produced from photovoltaic installations. Any producer of photovoltaic electricity can ask EDF or other non-nationalized energy distributor to purchase all or part of its production at a rate set by the State.
- Tax Credits – This tax provision allows households to deduct from their income tax a portion of the expenditure incurred for some retrofits on a principal residence.
